So hopefully soon I will be traveling to Beijing with my mom for a couple of weeks. I want to keep in touch with friends and family but I dont want to use roaming minutes or any crazy charges. So I was thinking of using a temporary service plan from rangeRoamer - Short-term cell phone service for international travelers. they are cheap and my uncle used them and they said they had great service but I want to keep my options open though So I was wondering if there are other ways of staying in touch that aren't really expensive?
