    See the rest of Sri Lanka

    As the war is now over and much of the country is opening up again. I have just returned from a trip around the north east and east regions of the island. I experienced the long stretches of paradise beaches, trekking up mountains to ancient palaces and sneaked around the national parks. I found it safe and friendly and would recommend it to anyone who want to try something different.
