    Favorite African Location?

The adventure that is Egypt never ends! That is why it is a shame if you come to Egypt, especially for the first time, and miss the grandiose sites, such as the Pyramids of Giza, Abu Simbel or the west bank of Luxor, to name but a few. There are so many travellers who fly direct to Upper Egypt to see Luxor and Aswan, hoping that they will be stumble across the Pyramids as well, and then they realize that they have to travel 720Km to Cairo, where the Pyramids actually are, and end up paying $400 extra to travel and see one site, which is most probably about half of what they paid for their entire trip!

So my advice for you, dear traveller, is to plan well for your trip before you come. Advance planning is the best way to save time, money and effort, and of course to ensure that you get to see the sites that you have been dreaming about for some time.

Kenya for me. It is a naturally beautiful country, and an amazing experience for any visitor, may it be to the coast, mountains, lakes, forests, mountains, desert, cities etc.

Morocco is known to be a great spot for a relaxing holiday. There are some excellent spa retreats where you can be pampered and enjoy a massage or treatment. In cities like Marrakech you can unwind in many of the local Hammams, traditional North African spas where you can wash and cleanse your skin in beautiful surrounds.

Africa is a massive continent and different all over so its kinda hard to say.

I have heard that Kenya is amazing for the wildlife, although I have never been myself.

I went to The Gambia at the beginning of the year and it was excellent. The people are so friendly and social, there are lots of birds, crocs (they have a croc pool where you can go and touch live crocs!) and there is a nature reserve where there are lots of other animals. The capital city (Banjul) is has a huge market, very busy but lots of bargains if you can barter!

Hope you find your perfect and have a great time!

My favorite location which is hardly known by many tourists is the Drakensburg Mountains. I have only ever heard it once from a foreign tongue and that was in the movie 2012, so its a wonder why its relatively unknown. Drakensburg is a mountainous region that has the aptly named Drakensburg Mountains. It is an awesome place to go for hikes and just view nature's artistry, which is what I like about it. I have written about the Drakensburg region, including its weather and activities as well as Drakensburg Accomodation. Enjoy!
