    a wonderful experience in Morocco

Hi! We just returned from a wonderful 10-day tour of Morocco. We travelled with our guide Youssef who has positive reviews online, and he subsequently sent me half-a-dozen references from all over the world (English speaking people), one in my own home town whom I met and talked about her trip with him. After speaking to Youssef by emails and phone , I felt quite comfortable booking him for our trip.We paid him the deposit a few weeks before our arrival to confirm our booking. He helped us with suggestions,we told him our favourites Riads and he booked them for us. Youssef and his driver Ibrahim picked us up from the Mohammed V airport in Casablanca using their air conditioned Van. He stayed with us the whole time as we sped across green landscapes, the roman ruins, the imperial or royal cities of Meknes and Fez, mountains, stopping in tiny Berber villages along the way, cedar woods, rockey and sand desert and a camel ride with a night in a Berber tent in the middle of the Merzouga desert- one of the most amazing experiences we have ever had. Youssef speaks Berber (or Tamazight as he told us), Arabic, French, English and Spanish. He has a Mater in Cultural and diversity studies, BA in tourism and a degree in English litterature. He is going to do his PHD in northern Africa History soon. He is very knowledgeable and he told us a lot about Morocco history(from the 10th Century BC ). We never felt uncomfortable with Youssef or Ibrahim, and in fact we became very good friends with both of them.Youssef was always making sure we are OK and if we were feeling comfortable.Due to Youssef's knowledge and hard work, we felt like guests with friends in Morocco, not tourists. He introduced us to numerous locals in a way that you are never able to in groups. We had tea with a Berber woman who lives in a cave dwelling in his home village called Bhalil near Fez. We were very amazed of what Morocco has offered! Its culture, generous people, towns … and of course the great job done by our Moroccan friends. We can’t thank them enough, but we will highly recommend them for such an unforgettable trip to Morocco. We will surely use their services again. Our guide contact: www.desert-trips.com

Morocco is becoming a new major tourist destination with King Mohammed VI leading a major investment program increasing the number of regional airports and holiday resorts and even the possibility of an underground tunnel to Spain. Morocco is one of my favorite countries and safe as well I travel several times over there. I just returned from Khemisset on February and I really enjoyed over there. The people were amazingly friendly it was nothing like I had expected. I’d highly recommend you to visiting there.
hope u had a great trip..
    thanks........
