Hi all! Will be traveling all over Europe in a couple of months and would love to know if anyone knew of any text messaging applications I can use while abroad. Need to text my friends and family back home...I know there are some applications you can text from a computer but don't know any names Anyone know what these applications are??????? thx!

have you heard of chime?.. users get assigned a US phone number with their account so that texting to the US is free, and there are no international charges. Its new and still in beta so you have to sign up and wait for the registration email with you login information -it took about two and half days for me. the sign up page is Chime Now
