    WINTER HOLIDAYS IN PIEDMONT
    Mountains take up 43,3% of the regional
    territory, counting 53 ski resorts, 1,300 km of ski
    runs and over 300 lift facilities. Natural
    environment, ski facilities and a solid
    organization can satisfy anyone who has an
    interest or passion in sport. 4000 m. of slopes,
    cross-country skiing through the woods,
    snow-shoe walking and also alpine skiing, ice

    ENJOY THE OLYMPIC MOUNTAINS
    The Olympic Mountains, after Winter Olympic
    Games 2006, became the favourite destination
    of winter sports lovers around the world.
    Encompassed between the valleys of Susa,
    Sangone and Pinerolese, the mountains are
    divided into 2 districts: Vialattea and
    Bardonecchia.Vialattea is the widest: over 400
    km, 200 slopes, 78 ski lift facilities reaching 2,800
    m., 4 snowparks for snowboard fans. Then there
    are the 2 resorts of Prali and Pian Neiretto.
    The Alpi Winter Resort district there are are 20 ski
    schools teaching every discipline and holding
    children classes starting from 5;
    at Sauze d’Oulx and Sansicario, there are great
    Baby Fun Parks for kids.

    In Sansicario, you can play Taxi Bob, the
    high velocity downhill at 100 km/h (equipped with
    helmet and assisted by a professional pilot)
    down along the 1,435 m. of curves of the
    Olympic Park-Top Run. Gourmets can choose
    where to taste the fine local cuisine out of 30 huts.

    Bardonecchia offers 21 resorts and 100 km of
    tracks through woods, a cross-country track,
    snow-shoe walking routes, a Snowpark, an
    Olympic Halfpipe, and much more than that.

    In Pragelato, apart from cross-country skiing (50
    km of runs) and ice skating, you can alternatively
    decide for breathtaking emotions experiencing
    motor sled rides or car driving on ice.

    Sounds like a good place to go for skiing, well I have never been to Italy before but I'm looking forward to visit this country gotta put it on my travel list.
