Hi Everybody,

I'll be doing some travel in Europe this summer, including a quick spell in Crete alone from 4-9 July. I'm really looking forward to it. I'm basing myself in Rethymnon, with day trips around the island. But mostly, I really want to relax.

I like traveling alone but would love to know if there are any other solo travelers out there in Crete this summer, or even small groups who wouldn't mind a tag-along. I'd love some company for a meal or a drink one of the evenings that I'm there. Or even if someone wants to do a day trip to the Samarian Gorge, that would be great, too!

Otherwise, if anyone else has been to Rethymnon, Heraklion or Chania and has suggestions of some nice places that wouldn't be too intimidating for a lone woman to eat or have a drink alone, without too much harassment, that would be most appreciated as well!
