Best time of year to visit Cuba

    Hi
May partner and I tend to go on long holidays over Christmas, but have always ended up travelling to South East Asia. However, we are very keen to go to Cuba and were wondering what the weather was generally like around late December/early January?
I have looked on various websites but they all seem to give conflicting advice!
    Thanks in advance

Cuba enjoys a warm, tropical climate throughout the year. The best time for visit is during the winter months from November to April. The rainy season from May to October can be humid. Hurricanes are common from September to October.

John_maxwell its correct, Cuba is an eternal summer .. but November 30th end the hurricane season, so if you are afraid of it, visit the Island after that day!

The one thing I learned is that you can't count on the weather, no matter when you go, thways a chance of weather that isn't typical for the season - good or bad
Have been to the Caribeean side of Mexico and DR a few times during this time framme times very good, other times cool, cloudy and rainy periods.

The annual rainfall averages about 1320 mm ( 52 in ). More than 60 percent of the rain falls during the wet season, which extends from May to October. The air's relative humidity reaches its highest value during the first hours of the morning and late afternoon. Average temperature ranges between 26 and 28 ŽºC . On the mountain the average temperature is bellow 26 ŽºC (Sierra Maestra mountain dips to below 20 ŽºC).

During the summer the heat is rather intense but agreeable. Winters are short and pleasant. Spring is almost everlasting throughout the archipelago. The weather in cuban eastern region enjoys a warmer climate than the west.

During winter, cold air masses coming from the North sweep over the island, these fronts usually last a short time.

The Hurricane season lasts from June through November but Cuba is often spared the worst to it's positioning in the Caribbean seas, often these tropical systems bring b showers and sea floods. With the exception of a few winter days, the Cuba Island 's climate is generally marvelous with 300 days of sun during the year.
